In 2017, Ficohsa continued to consolidate its leadership in housing finance in Honduras thanks to the trust and confidence of its clients. The growth of its mortgage portfolio with respect to 2016 was 7%, rising from 6.4MM to 6.9MM Lempiras, and 1,091 loans were given, reflecting a 6% increase in the number of clients served, which made its dream of owning its own home possible.
In the market share FICOHSA presented an increase of 1% compared to the previous year, which places the institution with 19% at the top of the National Banking System.
